Indianapolis Colts' cornerback Sauce Gardner has been ruled out of the team's Week 18 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Sauce Gardner Week 18 injury update

Gardner suffered a calf injury in last week's game against Jacksonville, forcing him to exit the game early. He has not practiced at all this week.

The Colts' Week 17 game with the Jaguars was Gardner's first one back after missing three games with a calf injury.

We do not know the severity of the current calf injury that Gardner is working through, but with the Colts out of playoff contention, there is no reason for him to attempt to play this week.

Along with Gardner, the Colts have already ruled out tight end Will Mallory as well.

Steichen says "it's hard to explain" on Mallory's lung issue.

Sauce Gardner's 2025 season stats with Colts

The Colts acquired Gardner prior to this year's NFL trade deadline. He has appeared in four games, playing 196 defensive snaps.

Gardner has recorded 14 tackles and allowed just seven completions on 13 targets for 51 yards. He also has three pass breakups, according to PFF.

Mekhi Blackmon and Cameron Mitchell will likely see the bulk of the outside cornerback snaps in Sunday's game.
