Caitlin Clark and Saniya Rivers’ in-game altercation has gone beyond the court.

The Indiana Fever recently locked horns with the Connecticut Sun as the former registered a WNBA record-breaking 123-88 win over the latter.

Caitlin Clark was unstoppable in the 35-point win as she finished the night with 27 points, 2 rebounds, and 11 assists. Aside from leading the Fever to a win, Clark also made headlines for her heated altercation with the Sun’s Saniya Rivers.

The two players engaged in a verbal back-and-forth during the third quarter. Both players were handed a technical foul for the heated exchange.

Saniya Rivers says she will never tolerate ‘disrespect’ after Caitlin Clark fight

It was later revealed that Rivers claimed that she was locking up Clark, but the Fever star simply told her to look at the scoreboard.

This didn’t sit well with Rivers and made her furious as the Sun star dropped a vicious rant against Clark on Threads.

“Girl, idgaf if we’re down by 50, I’m NEVER tolerating disrespect. As long as there’s time left on the clock, ima keep hoopin. Period,” Rivers said.

Rivers’ response was to a now-deleted criticism from a fan after her verbal exchange with Clark. But at the end of the day, Rivers never did lock up Clark.

Instead of making a scene on the court and social media, Rivers should focus on improving her game, as she scored 13 points while shooting 42% from the field off the bench.
