You could tell a couple of batters earlier he was starting to have trouble putting them away, and he was really leaking oil by the time they pulled him.What should it have been? 89? 85? 75??

There we two outs and he had 2 strikes on his final two batters… Not crazy at all to give the kid the chance to get thru 6 in that situation.

Saw a story that pointed to Thomas’ reaction to Hazen coming to the clubhouse and speaking with the team after all the trades. In short, Hazen made sure he addressed and took accountability for all the moves… but then made sure the team knew his expectations when it comes to the level of play and effort on the field. Thomas said he took Hazen’s comments to heart and that he was fired up as a result…
It should take the GM to make a fiery speech to ignite you. But, I’m glad to see Alek playing better nonetheless!
