Sami Zayn WWE champion. Oba Femi vs. Roman Reigns,: SummerSlam predictions

Night of Champions is now over.

Next up, SummerSlam.

OK, maybe it's not that easy. WWE still has a bunch of Raws, a slew of Smackdowns and a Saturday Night's Main Event to get through before we head to Minnesota for SummerSlam.

But there are no more PLEs before the biggest party of the summer.

SummerSlam match predictions​

Today we learned that Oba Femi and Iyo Sky earned championshp matches. We don't know much, but we know we love wrestling, and it's time to predict what we'll see.

I'm not breaking it down by night. I'm not predicting the full card because it's nearly impossible this far out. But lets look at the biggest matches we could see.

Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi​

The Tribal Chief could be in trouble. I predict he's going to meet Oba Femi here. And I'm not sure he wins. I do think they could pull some changes here and somehow set Oba Femi up for Brock Lesnar, but they could also do that at Saturday Night's Main Event, which will be held at Madison Square Garden in a few weeks. I'm sticking with Reigns vs. Oba, and hopefully the Tribal Chief finds a way to win.

Liv Morgan vs. Iyo Sky​

I"m taking Iyo Sky at her word. If they wanted to turn Sky into the most hated wrestler in the game, they could have her turn on an injured Rhea Ripley and win the title from her best friend. But Sky challenged Morgan today, so I'll believe her.

Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill​

The Queen cost Jade Cargill her chance at becoming Queen of the Ring, so Cargill owes the best wrestler in the world a reciept. I don't know if she'll get it. Flair is a great big match fighter. Cargill will only improve by wrestling Flair, and Cargill isn't bad to begin with. She's still a newish wrestler, she has the look of a true goddess and has so much star power. This match will help her become even better.

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens​

This is more of a wish than a prediction. I have no idea where Kevin Owens is in his recovery. I hope he's better, but I truly don't know. I hope he's back soon and gets a chance to wrestle his buddy during Sami's championship reign. When Owens won the title, Zayn was one of the main reasons. Same with Zayn winning today, Owens deserves credit. These guys have been through everything together. They're two guys you really wish good things for, at least I always do. Not certain this will happen, but let's hope!

Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther​

Why not? It would be incredible.

CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes​

I might be giving away too many massive matches, this thing is turning into a dream card. Last time Punk was on, he was trashing Cody. So there's meat on this bone.

Seth Rollins vs. Jacob Fatu​

Seth Rollins had a huge win over Bron Breakker. He has to have a huge match at SummerSlam. Why not put him in a match that gets him closer to a match with Roman Reigns?

Bron Breakker vs. Chad Gable​

It would require getting Chad Gable some huge wins between now and SummerSlam, but this would be a fantastic match. Gable is hot right now, Breakker is always money.

Solo Sikoa and LA Knight vs. the Usos​

Four stars who need dance partners, and they have problems.

Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bayley​

Putting three of my favorites in a triple threat for the title. Yes, it's lazy booking. I'm off Saturday, what do you want?

What's left​

Again, there are so many directions they could go with Trick Williams, Ricky Saints, Penta, Carmelo Hayes, Je'Von Evans, and all of those young guys who aer one step away from being a main eventer. There's so much depth. And don't forget tag teams. WWE is loaded with talent, they'll have no trouble coming up with two great nights of wrestling for SummerSlam.

And after today's Night of Champions, I'm ready.
