Sabrina Ionescu is back to 100%, leading the New York Liberty to the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup on Tuesday. The superstar guard led the way against the Las Vegas Aces, including a dagger triple with 15.7 seconds left to seal the victory.
Ionescu received the ball back from Breanna Stewart and faked going to her right. She instead went the other direction and knocked down the clutch basket to give the New York a 93-85 lead.

The WNBA posted the sequence on its X account, which has since been viewed more than 130,000 times.
The 28-year-old finished with a team-high 26 points built on five three-pointers. She added five rebounds and five assists. Stewart backed her with 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
Las Vegas, on the other hand, played without A’ja Wilson due to an ankle injury. Jewell Lloyd led the Aces’ charge with 31 points, while Chennedy Carter contributed 18 off the bench.

Ionescu missed the start of this campaign after sustaining a left foot injury in the preseason. She has appeared in eight games and is looking to make up for lost time. The four-time All-Star is averaging 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
While she is capable of producing better numbers, Tuesday’s performance could be the start of a strong run. Ionescu and the Liberty are 12-8 for the year and fifth in the standings. Her return to form will help propel the team to more wins and a better seed ahead of the playoffs.
