Ryan Blaney’s qualifying hot streak shows no signs of slowing down.
The Team Penske driver captured the pole for Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway, giving him his second consecutive pole position and his fourth in the last five races. Blaney will lead the field to the green flag after edging Chase Briscoe in Friday’s qualifying session.
The pole continues one of the most impressive stretches of qualifying speed in the Cup Series this season as Blaney looks to convert another front-row starting spot into a long-awaited victory.
Blaney will be joined on the front row by Briscoe, whose No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota qualified second.
Josh Berry continued a strong season for Wood Brothers Racing with the third-fastest lap, while Ty Gibbs and William Byron completed the top five.
RFK Racing also showed impressive speed with Ryan Preece qualifying sixth and Brad Keselowski ninth, while Bubba Wallace will start seventh after another solid qualifying effort for 23XI Racing.
Christopher Bell rebounded from pre-race inspection issues that resulted in the ejection of his car chief to qualify eighth, while Joey Logano rounded out the top 10.
Connor Zilisch continued to impress, qualifying 11th for Trackhouse Racing ahead of John Hunter Nemechek and Chase Elliott.
With Blaney once again starting from the pole, he’ll have another opportunity to capitalize on elite track position as the regular season winds toward its conclusion. But he’ll have plenty of company near the front, with three Joe Gibbs Racing cars, two RFK Racing entries and one of his Penske teammates all starting inside the top 10.
