RR vs GT head-to-head: Key stats and venue records in IPL
One of the newest rivalries to have cropped up in the IPL is that of Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans, who have been pitted against each other from as recent as 2022, and GT picked up a crucial 7-wicket win over RR in the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 on Friday after two matches during the regular season.
The Qualifier 2 win at Mullanpur Stadium was powered by GT captain Shubman Gill's 104 runs of 53 balls, and the bowling pair of Jason Holder and Kagiso Rabada recording impressive figures of 2/37 and 2/35 respectively.
In their most recent league-phase encounter, too, GT completely outplayed their opponent, beating them by 77 runs in Jaipur with GT scoring an incredible 229/4 against RR’s 152 all out. While Gill was the batting hero with 84 runs from 44 balls, Rashid Khan took four wickets against RR.
It must be noted that although RR won once against GT earlier this season, GT still holds a better record in the rivalry.
