Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano squared off in a Featherweight bout earlier this evening (Sat., May 16, 2026) at MVP MMA 1 inside Intuit Arena in Inglewood, California.
Rousey scored his first takedown within three seconds. Immediately, she landed in mount. Before Carano could even react, Rousey was falling backwards with the arm wrapped up, forcing a frantic tap from Carano. The whole fight lasted just a few seconds, and Carano didn’t land a single strike!
Look, Rousey was a massive favorite, but this was still really impressive. Carano showed up in great shape, with a strong team behind her, and looked good in her training clips … and it didn’t matter at all! Rousey bowled over Carano and locked up that masterful armbar for her first win in over a decade.
Will she compete again? Does it matter? Once again, Rousey has made history with the first-ever Netflix MMA, and she did it with yet another nearly instant armbar.
