Roma reject first Premier League offer for Ziolkowski


It’s not just incoming transfers. Roma’s summer will inevitably also feature several outgoing signings, and among the possible departures, after just one season with the Giallorossi, is Jan Ziolkowski.


Arrived last summer from Polish side Legia Warsaw for just under €7 million, the defender is being eyed by several Premier League clubs. Roma continues their search for a club willing to acquire the young Pole on a permanent basis, but so far no negotiations have materialized.


Bournemouth, initially interested, have shifted their focus to other targets, while Brighton don’t consider the youngster a priority.


The Roman club has set the player’s price at €20 million, aiming to generate a capital gain of around €15 million.


According to Siamolaroma.it, Nottingham Forest has expressed verbal interest, valuing the Pole at around €15 million, including bonuses, a figure deemed too low by Roma officials.


The gap between supply and demand, however, doesn’t appear to be particularly significant: which is why the option should be kept under close scrutiny in the coming days, with Forest potentially pushing close to the €20 million ceiling and thus satisfying Roma’s demands.
