Roma interested in Atletico’s Ruggeri as Tsimikas replacement
Roma have set their sights on Atletico Madrid full-back Matteo Ruggeri to replace Tsimikas, who is set to return to Liverpool.
The former Atalanta player would be happy to reunite with his old coach, Gian Piero Gasperini.
However, the sticking point is the deal’s terms: the Giallorossi want a loan with an option to buy, while the Colchoneros are demanding an obligation to buy and must first find a replacement for the player.
Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, the possibility of AI Shabab winger Carrasco remains alive, as he could represent a valid alternative to strengthen Roma’s attack, despite the difficulties associated with the transfer formula.
