Roma confident in contract renewal talks with Svilar
Roma intend to renew Mile Svilar’s contract, raising his salary to reflect his importance to the team.
Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport takes stock of the situation surrounding negotiations over Svilar’s new deal with Roma.
Both the club and the goalkeeper want to reach an agreement soon.
The 25-year-old has reiterated his desire to stay in the Italian capital.
Roma, on the other hand, realize that having a goalkeeper of Svilar’s young age and skill is a rarity.
The negotiations for the renewal continue, writes the newspaper, and the parties are not yet close and will continue to talk calmly and without rushing.
There is currently a difference of about one million euros between Roma’s offer and the player’s demands, plus a release clause that could be useful in the future for both Roma and the player.
However, Roma remain confident that they can close the agreement by the end of the season.
