Roma and Massara agree on severance package as sporting director nears exit


It’s been a long time coming that Frederic Massara is set to leave Roma.


His relationship with Gian Piero Gasperini hasn’t really taken off, and the club already has his replacement in hand.


As previously revealed by SiamolaRoma.it, the Piedmontese director has a termination clause in his contract with the Giallorossi, which expires on June 30th, so his departure is just a formality.


A final agreement has finally been reached between the club and the sporting director.


As reported by Il Tempo and Manà Manà Sport, the separation will be, as revealed, a mutual termination.


Furthermore, Massara will also be paid a severance package. The Friedkins, however, are maintaining their confidentiality: a non-disclosure agreement will also be signed.


A new era will soon begin in the capital, without Claudio Ranieri and Frederic Massara. Alongside Gian Piero Gasperini, who has been confirmed by the Texans, will be an old acquaintance: Tony D’Amico.


A few days ago, Atalanta announced the separation from its sporting director, who will soon begin his adventure at Roma.


The club has already begun its move on the transfer market, targeting some of Gasperini’s targets; now the sporting director will have the task of making the move. The coach, however, has a dream: to bring Mason Greenwood to Trigoria. The Giallorossi will delve deeper into the matter in the coming weeks.
