Rohit Sharma was back in action against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 19th season of the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
After a prolonged injury break, Rohit Sharma returned to action for MI against Lucknow Super Giants, where he scored 84 runs in 44 balls and helped MI chase down 229 runs.
However, in the next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he started well but was dismissed early in the innings as he could score just 22 runs in 10 balls.
In the previous match against Punjab Kings, he struggled to get going.
The lack of feet movement was evident as Yuzvendra Chahal broke through his defence with a hint of spin, and the stumps were rattled. Although he hit two sixes, there were no boundaries in his innings of 25 runs off 26 balls.
