we never even went after sengun - basically just stamped his hand - gave him an all access bracelet and all the offensive rebounds he could handle - awfully nice of us - had 4 fouls the entire 2nd half

I expect to see different rotations tomorrow against the Mavericks or perhaps this is wishful thinking.

Absolute idiocy that Dunn, Flemming, any size and defense haven’t played when all our 3 pt shooters weren’t hitting all night at least get some damn D on the floor just a terribly coached game by Ott!!!! Pure stupidity

In hindsight we'd better have had Fleming, Highsmith, and maybe even Dunn and ManMan play the min. by Allen, RO, Colin and Oso. These guys were out of sync of sort all game. Ott's idea of pairing Oso and Colin is good in theory, as long as Colin nails the open 3s, which however he's not been able to for a long stretch now. And these group cant stay in front of their men that led to lots of help D and off. rebs. MW was maybe tire in the 4th whom Sengun then repeatedly scored against under basket.
All in all, we crucially need Gillespie and Allen to make the open 3s to have a chance in any playoff series.

The Suns lack of defense and size in their rotation is a real problem. Ott needs to keep shuffling the cards.

Phoenix has to do quick double teams for their defense to be effective but the players wear down over the course of the game. They are simply too small.

Yeah the word is out on how to stop this Suns team. I'm not seeing any creativity from Ott to counter the opposition when our 3 isn't falling either. It'll be a quick outing in the playoffs if Ott doesn't have some tricks up his sleeve.

This offseason will be interesting for Gregory and Ishbia. We're cash strapped and have virtually no assets to upgrade the roster. I wouldn't be against a sign and trade involving Collin for a real PF because guard is the one place we have depth and he's more a luxury than a necessity, IMO. I think retaining Goodwin and Williams are more important for the future of this team.

I honestly don't see what's Ott's goal with these rotations.

Showcasing the veterans due to trading purposes? Sharpening-up new lineups till the play-off?

But why doesn't he take notice when these experiments fail completely?

Earlier in the season I really thought we finally had a tough team. This team isn’t tough any longer.

This was the same thought I had watching it. Don't know if it's the rotations, the various injury lineups, fatigue or if other teams are now caught up as the season winds down, but it's clear the team hasn't had the same mental & physical fortitude advantages they had earlier in the year.

I still believe in Ott. Our starters were super focused and we blitzed Rox in the 1st qrt with Book, Goody and MW almost perfect with their shots. But our bench guys got overwhelmed, on both D and O. Ott was betting on Oso-Gillespie tandem for smooth offense we saw throughout this season, in vain. But he still has to trust them as the alternative using the rooks and Dunn is less tested. Also Green and Brooks scores came a bit too late. Now our ranking locked in the 7/8 place, we could experiment some more lineups in remaining 3 games.

Everything is going to be more methodical come playoff time. This team doesn't stand a chance unless they stop relying on guards and smaller forwards to round out every rotation. I get that Dunn hasn't been reliable. I get that Flemming is raw and so is Man Man but Ott has to figure out a way to inject size or this team is going to get worked in the play in.

things got worse for us last night or atleast we moved on to a bigger problem - starting unit chemistry isn't the issue now it's the whole team losing focus when the game gets tough - when things get chippy and i thought we were past that but udoka played us like a fiddle
