Bill Belichick is not the only acclaimed member of the New England Patriots franchise that won’t enter into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026.

Belichick was nominated for induction into the Hall this year in his first year of eligibility. Along with him was Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who was named a finalist as part of the contributor category following years of being named a semifinalist dating back to 2013 — his first year of eligibility. The result regarding Kraft’s election into the Hall came back negatively on Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kraft was not selected for the Hall:

This is the first year where Robert Kraft advanced to become a finalist, albeit in the contributor category, but he still was denied entry into the Hall of Fame that includes NFL owners such as Jerry Jones, Pat Bowlen, Eddie DeBartolo Jr., Ralph Wilson and Dan Rooney. https://t.co/gfc8rhJ9UI

As owner of the Patriots, Kraft led New England to six Super Bowl championships. He originally took ownership of the franchise in 1994.

The 84-year-old is the winningest owner in NFL history. Yet, his resume was not enough to get him voted into Canton this year, creating more backlash against the Hall following Belichick’s snub.
