The Miami Dolphins reportedly released former All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill on Monday, and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III believes the New England Patriots should be one of the teams interested in his services.

Hill's 2025 season was cut short after suffering a dislocated knee and a torn ACL in the Dolphins' Week 4 game against the New York Jets. To that point, he had been targeted 29 times with 21 receptions for 265 yards and a touchdown. Now that Hill is officially a free agent, there will likely be teams vying for his services on the open market.

Griffin believes the Patriots should be one of those teams.

"The New England Patriots need to sign Tyreek Hill," Griffin posted on X. "Drake Maye was the best deep ball thrower in football this year. If Tyreek Hill gets back to 90% of what he was, the Patriots get a massive mismatch chess piece on their board."

The knee injury would be an obvious concern. What version of Hill, who turns 32 in March, will even return to the NFL? The Patriots are a younger rebuilding team on the rise.

They already made a similar move last season when they took a chance on four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Would they make another gamble with Hill?
