Robert Griffin III has set his sights on a unique Olympic dream, revealing what representing Team USA in flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Games would truly mean to him.
The former NFL quarterback has already expressed his intention to be part of the national setup as flag football prepares to make its Olympic debut.

Robert Griffin III says Olympic gold with Team USA would be the ultimate honor
Griffin spoke about his ambition in a conversation shared via TMZ Sports, where he outlined what the Olympics would represent to him.
The context is his desire to join Team USA’s flag football squad for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
He said, “Oh man, it would be everything. I think there’s no greater honor than being able to represent your country at the Olympics, win a gold medal, and stand on that podium with your teammates as they sing the national anthem.”
The statement reflects how highly he values the chance to compete on that stage.

Griffin also connected his Olympic ambition to his upbringing and the experiences that shaped his perspective.
He continued, “I’m a military kid, was born in Japan, moved around a bunch, and saw a lot of people make sacrifices for this country for us to be able to have these types of opportunities. So, I don’t take that lightly. And that’s why it would be so special for me.”
Griffin III concluded, stating: “My goal is to help the current national team players and the guys that have been playing flag for so long, get the shine that I believe they deserve… I just want to be able to get out there on the field with those guys and have some fun.”
The explanation adds depth to his goal, showing that it is about more than personal achievement.
For Griffin, the Olympics represent a chance to contribute, compete and honor something bigger than the game itself.
