In the WWE world, you can never really tell what is real and what is staged.
That is the perfect place for someone like Logan Paul to operate. He has been a social media personality for most of his life, and has made a living pushing the envelope, sometimes too far, and teetering on the line between reality and ruse.
Both he and his brother Jake have gotten into celebrity boxing, but Jake has taken his career more into the amateur fight stage, despite only matching up with fighters who are past their prime. Logan tends to fight for fanfare, and had a $1 million boxing fight scheduled with former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell.
All of this started from Tom Brady commenting that professional wrestling was "cute" and "not real." This ignited many wrestlers in the WWE, one of whom was Paul, who said that he would fight any NFL player for $1 million. Bell had responded, and they planned a fight, but Paul called it off, citing that the WWE vetoed the fight, saying it violated his contract.
When calling out NFL players, Paul dropped Gronkowski's name, who has a history with the WWE. Gronkowski took the chance to respond to Paul, and made sure to personally call out Paul for a fight.
Here is more on Gronkowski calling out Paul for a fight.

Rob Gronkowski responds to Logan Paul callout
Gronkowski was talking about NFL free agency on Up & Adams with NFL host/analyst Kay Adams. The former NFL player brought up Paul and the Bell situation, noting that their fight was called off. Gronkowski said that he thought Paul backed out, and thought the phone call that Paul had on his podcast was "the biggest crap of all time."
Paul boxed Gronkowski's brothers and called out Gronk for not getting in the ring with his family. The former tight end said that he didn't because he was still fighting and he hadn't agreed.
Gronkowski then said, "If Logan Paul wants a piece of me, we are both playing in the flag football game on March 21. I'm down to throw on the field, and even throw my fists, go all out brawl on the flag football field. I will fight him on the field if he wants to fight me."
"If Logan Paul wants a piece of me, I'm down to throw it down on the field... I'll whoop his ass."

Why is Logan Paul calling out Rob Gronkowski, other NFL players?
All of this "controversy" began in an interview that Tom Brady did, talking about the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia on March 21. Brady was a guest on Paul's "imPAULsive" podcast. The former quarterback said, "I'm actually a little worried for you. You're a good athlete, but these guys are on another level. It's cute, I love WWE, it's very cute, but honestly, this is like real football, real competition."
The phrase "it's cute" spread across WWE social media, with plenty of wrestlers commenting on it. The publicity led Paul to call out NFL players saying that he challenged any of them to a $1 million fight. He is known for being overconfident, and it showed with his challenge diatribe. "There’s a clip out there of him [Tom Brady] calling me a b----… If any of the football players want to fight, we’ll see what happens. I would throttle Myles Garrett. It could be any name. Any football player, Myles Garrett, Pula Nakua, Tom Brady, Rob [Gronkowski], Sam Darnold. $1M, come to the gym, put on boxing gloves, and let’s see how it goes. I will throw hands."
Bell responded and they supposedly had the fight scheduled before Paul's "phone call" from WWE that said it was in violation of his contract to have the fight.
With the way that all of this is happening, any WWE fan would have their red flags going off and think that this ends with Paul taking on Gronk in a wrestling match at WrestleMania with Brady in his corner or something similar.

Is Logan Paul fighting Rob Gronkowski?
No, not yet. Paul is currently not scheduled to fight any NFL player past or present. But, with the way that the WWE operates, it does feel like this whole situation is leading up to some form of match that involves Paul, Gronk and Brady with Paul and Gronk being more likely to actually get in the ring.
