Nelly Korda's third career major was quickly followed up by her return to No. 1. On Sunday, she's once again in pursuit of another LPGA victory.
Korda opened the 2026 Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba on Thursday with a 68, then followed that up with a pair of 67s. she opened Sunday's final round with a three-shot lead.

Korda started with four pars but then made eagle at the par-5 fifth hole to get to 16 under.
On Monday, when the Rolex Rankings were updated, Korda was back in the top spot. It marked her seventh time taking over No. 1. She has collectively spent 108 weeks in the No. 1 position over the course of her career.
With a win, Korda would have 18 career LPGA victories. She would claim her third win in 2026 in six starts. Her other finishes this year are a solo second and two ties for second. Only two golfers have beaten her this season. Futher, a win would make Korda:
