The Region 1B boys and girls basketball playoff brackets are officially set. On the boys side both Riverheads and Buffalo Gap qualified, while Riverheads is in the field in the girls tournament.
The girls quarterfinals begin Feb 20 and the boys start Feb. 21.
In girls basketball, Riverheads (14-7) has won four out of five games heading into the regular season finale against Waynesboro Feb. 18. The Gladiators earned a No. 2 seed in the eight-team tournament and will host No. 7 Brunswick (10-9) Feb. 20. Brunswick won four of its last six games to end the regular season.
The Region 1B girls tournament bracket, Feb. 20 (records as of Feb. 17):
The girls semifinals are set for Feb. 24 with the higher seed hosting while finals are Feb. 27 at Louisa High School.
In the boys bracket, No. 6 Buffalo Gap will travel to No. 3 Brunswick while Riverheads is the No. 8 seed and will be at No. 1 Cumberland. Riverheads has dropped four in a row with the regular season ending against Waynesboro Feb. 18. Buffalo Gap won three in a row before losing its final two games of the regular season.

The boys semifinals are scheduled for Feb. 25 at the higher seed with the championship game at Louisa High School on Feb. 27.
