Texas A&M's 2027 recruiting class will take center stage this weekend, as third-year coach Mike Elko and his staff will host the first group of 2027 prospects taking their official visits, which will now reportedly include four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen. Earlier this month, it was revealed that rising three-star defensive lineman Segun Alexander is now a favorite to land with the Aggies.
Since returning to Texas A&M, DL coach Elijah Robinson has already made an impact since returning to the program this offseason, helping land five-star edge Zyron Forstall, who is the highest-rated player in the Aggies' 2027 cycle. So far, the Aggies have already landed four to five five-star prospects, depending on the recruiting outlet, and aren't slowing down.
Along the defensive line, Texas A&M has already landed commitments from four-star defensive linemen Myels Smith, Elijah Patmon, and ascending edge Kaden McCarty, who have all continued to shine heading into their senior seasons. Alexander will likely become a four-star prospect by the end of the year, especially if he capitalizes on his impressive junior season stats.
Standing 6'2" and nearly 280 pounds, the versatile defender registered 36 tackles, 12 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble last season, and has released his official visit schedule, which will include a trip to College Station on June 5. Along with Cal, Clemson, Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame, Elko and his staff are looking to lock down the Georgia native soon.
