Me too. He was truly a genius - a prose-poet, a writer of pure magic. His freedom, fierce discipline, and most of all his absolute fearlessness have been an inspiration to me as a writer, a reader, and a person.

Unlike a great many big name 20th century authors, I believe Gabriel Garcia Marquez will stand the test of time.
