On Sunday night, Michigan State and New Mexico did battle, and it was certainly a battle. In the end, the Spartans survived the Lobos, defeating New Mexico 71-63, but all of the props should be to New Mexico, who gave Michigan State all that they could handle.
Following the game, Richard Pitino took the podium, and broke things down from his perspective. Pitino and Izzo have had an extensive history playing against one another, with Pitino being the former head man at Minnesota, and he spoke on the latest battle with the hall of famer.
The post game press conference started with a couple of the Lobos players, sharing their thoughts and disappointments with the game, but it then turned to Pitino, who gave a great press conference, detailing what he saw from the game between the Lobos and Spartans.

- Pitino shared his thoughts on Donovan Dent and his struggles against Michigan State, but also the outstanding season he had in totality
