LeBron James' decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers was broadly viewed as his final ride in the NBA. Unless, maybe, it isn't. The thought of James playing beyond the next two seasons hasn't been discussed often, and it certainly doesn't seem likely. But after we've seen James play at the level he has in the NBA over the span of 23 years, nothing should come as much of a surprise at this point.
Apparently, James' longtime friend and agent, Rich Paul, knows that much and can envision a world in which joining the Sixers would fuel his desire to continue his career, as he explained to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
"I think Philadelphia's going to energize him," Paul told ESPN. "Maybe we get two [seasons]. Maybe we get four."
Maybe we get four is a comment worthy of making anyone do a double-take.

James would be 45 if he played four more seasons in the NBA, but as McMenamin highlighted, the future Hall of Famer's comments at Fanatics Fest truly wouldn't make it as outrageous as some may think. James said, "Why not still play it if you still love it? I'm just trying to squeeze as much of the juice out of it as possible."
So, maybe it's not crazy. It certainly wouldn't be shocking after seeing James' ability to play at such a high level, regardless of age. Regardless, one thing that seems possible is that LeBron's career may not end with this two-year deal to join the 76ers.
