LOL. RG3 is such a chump. He also thinks that Subway makes the best sandwiches in the world.

"There's guys in this league that have done way more than me. But I still view myself as the best because that's what I work toward every single day."

I think I understand what RGIII was trying to say and he could have said it better. I think the media twisted it into something more than it is.

Still RGIII just needs to keep his mouth shut until he proves it on the field.

LOL. RG3 is such a chump.

This is the problem when people hear a fraction of a quote and totally take it out of context.

Read the full quote:

“I don’t feel like I have to come out here and show anybody anything or why I’m better than this guy or better than that guy. It’s more about going out and affirming that for me, I go out and I play, I know I’m the best quarterback on this team. I feel like I’m the best quarterback in the league and I have to go out and show that,” he said. “Any athlete at any level, if they concede to someone else, they’re not a top competitor, they’re not trying to be the best that they can be. There’s guys in this league that have done way more than me. But, I still view myself as the best because that’s what I work toward every single day.”

There's absolutely nothing wrong with what RGIII said. I would rather my quarterback come out and say he's the best instead of conceding to others and saying something along the lines of, "well, I feel like I'm the 20th or 21st quarterback in the league, and the buck stops there." He fully admitted that there are much more decorated QBs in the league and that he needs to work towards showing he's the best.

Now the reality of the situation is he's a ways away from even being in the conversation for Top 20 and still needs to prove to everyone that he's better than the player he's shown the past two seasons, but if he truly believes what he's saying, then at least his mind is in the right place.

What a false equivalence you're creating here. There is no "either/or" involved. I'm perfectly fine with him saying, "I haven't played to the level that I know that I'm capable of, and I'm going out here to do the work every day to be the best quarterback in the NFL."

The problem is that RG3 has come out basically every year and said some other nonsense like this and then disappears and doesn't accept responsibility for not backing up his mouth with his actions.

What false equivalence? Either you're confident in your abilities or you're not. Simple as that. There are a myriad of ways to verbalize it. If RGIII wants to proclaim he's the best QB, so be it. Certainly, I don't agree with what he said one bit, but more power to him if that's what helps him prove he's a better player than he's demonstrated the past couple of seasons. If the media didn't crop only a sliver of his quote, fewer people would be on their proverbial soapboxes.

The only thing he should be confident about at this point, is missing multiple games every season.

That ol is a hot mess. Looked worse then ours a few years back. He was getting tossed around like a rag doll... Rosenbach style!

4 series & it seemed like he was crushed on each pass play!!! I would've tapped out as well :p

Injury prone, bad team, bad organization etc.. He may never have a chance to prove if he is the best. I think he is good, not great. If he stays on the Redskins, he will have no chance of being relevant in the NFL, IMO
