In fact, quite a bit has changed in the 'Rodgers to Pittsburgh' speculation since then—including rumors about the Minnesota Vikings and potential retirement. However, insiders now suggest that the Steelers may have received a verbal assurance from Rodgers that he intends to play in the Steel City in 2025.

Optimism within the Steelers organization points toward a Rodgers signing becoming a matter of when, not if. Additionally, the timing of the original leak lines up with the release date of the Misplaced Series Pirates hat—April 5th—just four days before Pat McAfee’s Big Night AHT in Pittsburgh on April 9th.

If Rodgers is truly saving his announcement for his close friend, don’t be surprised if the four-time MVP shows up rocking the triple P look of the Misplaced Series’ Pittsburgh Pirates hat.
