The New England Patriots are among the teams that have reportedly received calls on their first-round pick of the 2025 NFL draft.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, teams have called the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and Patriots inquiring about potential trade-up scenarios for picks 2-4. Most of the calls have come from teams interested in trading up for Colorado receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.

The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner was arguably the best receiver and defensive back in the country last season. He hauled in 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 36 combined tackles, 11 pass deflections and four interceptions.

The Browns, Giants and Patriots have all received trade calls about picks Nos. 2-4.

It's hard to envision the Patriots entertaining a trade if it meant passing on a generational talent like Hunter. If the Colorado star is still on the board at No. 4, one would think the Patriots would draft him.

One of the biggest trouble spots on the Patriots' roster has been at wide receiver. Adding a player with Hunter's talent to the mix would take things to another level in New England.
