Maybe the fourth time is the charm.
Illinois will get its fourth shot in less than three years at Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported Tuesday that the Illini and Huskies will face off Friday, Dec. 4 at United Center in Chicago.
It’s the return game after the two teams played last year on Black Friday at Madison Square Garden. Illinois and UConn then, of course, met in the Final Four, where the Huskies narrowly won. UConn also won in the Elite Eight back in 2024.
They’re going to get them this time. I’m feeling it.
