Report: Cardinals Calling Teams Ahead of Trade Deadline
The Arizona Cardinals are looking to get active ahead of the league's trade deadline.
Ojulari, Hendrickson, and Z Smith are names to watch for.Takes two to tango. But I think most top shelf names won’t be moved unless we are giving away the farm which I can’t see MO doing.
I guess the major inference of the article was pass rushing, but I didn't read anything from the article that said the Cards were calling teams specifically for pass rush help. Unless the people mentioned in the article are specific to the Cards? I hope they are, though.

#Browns Za'Darius Smith missed practice today with an illness, team says
Conner and Baker, both have contracts ending this year. I've been hearing national buzz about teams wanting them, now. I don't think Monti will bite, but I have no idea what they are offering, or if not traded, will some team offer more than we will pay? Teams have been known to offer crazy contracts to former Cards. Nah, we'll trade for an edge and get Darius back soon and all will be well in Glendale.Hopefully, we become a player destination. A place where players see a first-place team that needs to shore up some areas and they know they can come in and make a difference from day one. Great place to live, work, etc. Play for Gannon, be a teammate of Baker, Conner, etc. Let's go !!
Most of Smith's salary is locked up in an $18M Signing bonus. The Browns have already paid that money and they are on the hook for it.Trade block
he would actually be cheap... 12m next season then contract voids after the super bowl in 2026...really cheap this season, about 1.5m
roster bonus next year is 2m in March...then 510k per game...so about 11m totalMost of Smith's salary is locked up in an $18M Signing bonus. The Browns have already paid that money and they are on the hook for it.
If Smith is traded he would only cost about $600k this season for his remaining 9 games of his 2024 salary.
Next season he would only cost $1.5M plus a potential $2.5M of roster bonuses. Or the team trading for him could just cut him at the end of the season and owe him nothing next year.
No I believe it is $30K per gameroster bonus next year is 2m in March...then 510k per game...so about 11m total
If either wasn't playing we don't win any games this year. Not going to happen.Conner and Baker, both have contracts ending this year. I've been hearing national buzz about teams wanting them, now.
