Connor McGovern might have played his final game with the Buffalo Bills, not just according to a report, but the man himself.
McGovern, 28, is one of Buffalo's top pending free agents during the 2026 NFL offseason. McGovern is a pending free agent and spoke to the The Athletic for a piece published just one week before free agency opens on March 11.
Per The Athletic, McGovern has indicated he feels he has likely played his last snap with the Bills considering he has not heard from the team or general manager Brandon Beane one time:
McGovern anchored Buffalo's offensive line at center last year., as Pro Football Focus ranked the Bills' O-line as the sixth-best in the NFL at the end of the 2025 season.
Despite that, Buffalo might be heading in a new direction considering McGovern's comments.
“They haven’t contacted me once,” McGovern said. “In my gut, that says it’s over and done.”
McGovern went on to indicate he'd like to stay in Buffalo but knows football is a business and the Bills are still up tight against the projected 2026 salary cap. According to OverTheCap, the Bills are still approximately $8.2 million above next year's threshold.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
