Registration opens soon for Pittsburgh Marathon weekend events

Get your running shoes ready; it’s almost time to register for the 2027 Dick’s Sporting Goods Marathon Weekend.

Registration for the April 30 - May 3 marathon weekend events opens at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, and officials expect more than 55,000 participants from all U.S. states and dozens of countries.

“Whether you’re running your first 5K, walking the half marathon, racing for a personal record or cheering on a loved one, Marathon Weekend is a celebration of movement that brings our community together,” Interim CEO of P3R Bob Shooer said. “We can’t wait to welcome participants from Pittsburgh and around the world back to our streets next spring.”

While Pittsburgh’s marathon route is a draw for many, it isn’t the only event you can participate in. There’s also the:
