Great article as always! This one almost brought a tear to my eye! All things said it was a great season and those of us who were here to watch it will be able to say something no past or future Cardinals fans can say, we saw this team turn the corner! We all witnessed a team that for the first time in along time, believed in itself and fought to prove itself every game! I cant wait till training camp and pre-season, it is going to be great to see what new peices of the puzzle Denny finds!

Jo as a fellow DC alum that was raised on Redskin Football, it's great to share that same feeling for our Cards. Thanks for the great article.

Jo - You belong weekly on the Op Ed page of the AZR or EVT sports section (hint, hint to the editor braintrusts of each publ).

I was in the stands in Baltimore for the playoff game where Dave (The Friendly Ghost) Casper caught that ball over his head to help the Raidiz win in triple overtime.

Regarding players, trash talk and all that nonsense - Just because a dude knows how to play football doesn't necessarily make him a rocket-scientist in the world of human relations. I just tune out these guys much in the same way I turn down the volume on my TV set so I can focus on the game itself.

PLAYOFF RECIPE
Nick Leckey recommends we all snuggle up to our TeeVees behind a huge pile of wings. In case you're not within driving distance of decent ones, here's an easy down & dirty recipe:

1. Buy a mess of wings, clip the tips and grill slowly (with nothing on them) on the barbie til crisp on both sides.

2. Melt some butter and put in a bowl. For every stick of butter, blend in 10 - 11 tablespoons of Frank's Hot Sauce (or Frank's Wing Sauce) and stir til fully mixed.

3. Dump the wings into a bigger bowl and pour the sauce over the wings.

Serve with copious quantities of blue cheese and Dos Equis.

Jo,

Great job as usual.

I have my Ceasar's Sports Book $10 Cards-win-Superbowl ticket proudly displayed at work.

It's worth something, if not $750.

Great article except predicting a 9-6 season is a little off considering they play 16 games.
