Red Wings swing deal at trade deadline buzzer for Blues D Justin Faulk

Don't count the Detroit Red Wings out at the trade deadline until it's officially closed.

Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman acquired veteran defenseman Justin Faulk from the St. Louis Blues for Justin Holl and draft picks.

Faulk fills the biggest need Yzerman had to address. Faulk is 6 foot, 208 pounds and is right handed.

He'll slide into the second pair opposite Ben Chiarot.

Faulk, 33, has one year left on a deal with a $6.5 million salary cap hit.
