Red Wings players Patrick Kane and Dylan Larkin met up with local Olympians Evan Bates and Madison Chock after Thursday's 3-1 victory over Montreal at Little Caesars Arena.

Bates (Ann Arbor) and Chock (Novi) won sliver medals at last month's Winter Olympics in ice dancing. They are two-time gold medalists in the team event at the Olympics and three-time world champions.

Larkin was part of the U.S. men's Olympic hockey team that won a gold medal. Kane, who won a silver medal for the U.S. team in 2010, and Bates went to high school together in Ann Arbor when Kane was part of the U.S. National Team Development Team, then based in Ann Arbor.

Larkin, who has 28 goals and 27 assists this season, is currently out of the lineup as he recovers from a lower-body injury. Kane has 12 goals and 29 assists, and earlier this season passed Mike Modano to become the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in NHL history.
