The Woo Sox kept rolling on Thursday against the IronPigs (PHI) in a matinee game. The lineup was pounding the ball from top to bottom, with Nathan Hickey’s three hits leading the way, followed by two hit efforts from Allan Castro and Vinny Capra. Capra’s two-run homer in the sixth extended Worcester’s lead to 6-2. Franklin Arias was 1-for-4 with a two-run single and a walk.
Eduardo Rivera got the start and allowed one run in 3 ⅔ innings, before Seth Martinez followed to get the win, throwing 2 ⅓ innings.
Alec Gamboa (2-3, 3.47) will take the mound for Worcester on Friday at 6:45.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Portland Sea Dogs 2 (BOX)

The Sea Dogs got a strong performance from Hayden Mullins, striking out eight hitters over 4 ⅔ innings, and allowing just one run.
Down 1-0 in the sixth, Johanfran Garcia doubled in the tying run. Following Mullins was Cooper Adams, who struggled in a 1-1 game in the sixth by walking three batters and allowing a home run, as the Fisher Cats (TOR) went up 5-1.
A late RBI single by Miguel Bleis made the final score 5-2, as Portland managed just three hits on the day.
Devin Futrell will make his debut for Portland at 6:03 (??) on Friday. He had been 5-1 with a 4.22 ERA in 15 appearances (12 starts) at High-A Greenville.
Greenville Drive 4, Hudson Valley Renegades 2 (BOX)

The Drive rode some strong pitching performances to take down the Renegades (NYY) 4-2 on Thursday. Brady Tygart, who had been working his way back from injury in Salem in recent weeks, returned to Greenville and was stellar, throwing five shutout innings of relief and finishing the game to get the win.
The recent top draft picks all contributed to the victory as well. Jake Schaffner’s RBI single, and Owen Hull’s sacrifice fly, both in the third inning, flipped a 2-1 deficit to a 3-2 lead. Ronny Hernandez had two hits, as well.
The Drive have not announced a starter for 6:45 this evening.
Fayetteville Woodpeckers 10, Salem Red Sox 9 (BOX)

A wild game at Salem on Thursday ended up with the Woodpeckers (HOU) pulling things out, thanks to a six-run 7th inning. The RidgeYaks had built up a 6-4 lead, with RBI singles by Anderson Fermin and D’Angelo Ortiz (two hits) leading the way. Fermin had two walks, a hit, three runs, and two RBI.
Unfortunately, a less-than-ideal performance from Yander Bonaci saddled him with the loss, allowing five runs in one-third of an inning.
Sadbiel Danzine (0-0, 2.16) gets the ball on Friday at 6:35.
