Recap: Topic leads OKC Blue in 127-118 win over Sioux Falls Skyforce

The G League's OKC Blue continued their momentum with a 127-118 win over Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday. The home victory improved to 7-14 in the regular season.

The Blue got off to a hot start with a 31-21 lead after the first quarter. The high-scoring continued through the second frame. The Skyforce put up 42 points in it as OKC lost control of the lead. The home squad entered halftime with a slight 63-61 advantage.

Out of the break, the Blue scored 30 points in the third quarter. Both teams were tied at 91 points apiece. Both teams stayed close to each other. Knotted up at 104 points with under seven minutes to go, OKC went on a 19-5 run to create some distance on the scoreboard.

Payton Sandfort made a 3-pointer to give the Blue a 123-109 lead with a little over a minute left. The Blue scored 36 points in the fourth quarter to put this one away. No overtime was necessary in this one.

The Blue shot 56% from the field and went 15-of-34 (44.1%) from 3. They shot 14-of-18 on free throws. They had 27 assists on 44 baskets. Eight Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Skyforce shot 46% from the field and went 15-of-41 (36.6%) from 3. They shot 10-of-15 on free throws. They had 29 assists on 44 baskets. Five Skyforce players scored double-digit points.

• Anthony Pritchard: 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting, 3-of-4 on free throws, nine assists, five rebounds
• Trevor Keels: 33 points on 12-of-21 shooting, 8-of-15 from 3, three rebounds
• Josh Christopher: 25 points on 9-of-24 shooting, 2-of-9 from 3, 3-of-4 on free throws, seven rebounds, three assists
• Keshad Johnson: 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, 3-of-7 from 3, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals
• Dennis Smith Jr.: 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting, 1-of-3 from 3, 11 assists, five rebounds, three steals
