The G League's OKC Blue trailed for most of the day in a 109-94 loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Sunday. The home defeat dropped their record to 4-14 in the regular season.
The Blue were behind from the jump. They were in a 27-20 deficit after the first quarter. The hole only grew in the second frame with just 17 points. OKC entered halftime in a 55-37 deficit. That's a pretty large sum of points to climb out of in one half.
Things only got worse from there. The Blue only had 23 points in the third quarter. At that point, they were in an 86-60 hole. The final frame was played out of necessity. OKC was able to doll up the final score with 34 points in the fourth quarter. But that was purely semantical.
The Blue shot 41% from the field and went 7-of-28 (25%) from 3. They shot 13-of-18 on free throws. They had 23 assists on 33 baskets. Three Blue players scored double-digit points.
Meanwhile, the Vipers shot 46% from the field and went 15-of-43 (34.9%) from 3. They shot 13-of-17 on free throws. They had 25 assists on 35 baskets. Seven Vipers players scored double-digit points.

- Bryce Thompson: 36 points on 13-of-20 shooting, 1-of-5 from 3, 6-of-6 on free throws, six rebounds, three assists, three steals
- Payton Sandfort: 22 points on 7-of-17 shooting, 6-of-13 from 3, 2-of-3 on free throws, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks
- Zhaire Smith: 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting, 0-of-3 from 3, four rebounds, four assists, three steals
- Viktor Lakhin: four points on 2-of-4 shooting, five rebounds
- Caleb McConnell: 22 points on 5-of-9 shooting, 3-of-6 from 3, 5-of-7 on free throws, five rebounds, four assists
- Tyler Smith: 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting, 4-of-6 from 3, four rebounds, four assists
- Isaiah Crawford: 15 points on 5-of- 13 shooting, 1-of-5 from 3, six rebounds, four assists, two steals
- Daishen Nix: 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 2-of-4 from 3, five assists, two rebounds
