Real Madrid star one yellow card away from World Cup semi-final suspension
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham will be forced to walk the disciplinary tightrope in his next appearance on the international stage.
This comes owing to his disciplinary record at the World Cup.
England are of course fresh off booking their spot in the quarter-finals of international football’s most high-profile tournament, at the expense of host country Mexico.
En route to an eventual 3-2 triumph for the Three Lions, the aforementioned Bellingham played a starring role, to the tune of a first-half brace.
As alluded to above, though, next time out, the 23-year-old will need to watch his step…
Bellingham was shown a yellow card in England’s Round-of-32 meeting with DR Congo, meaning he is just a solitary booking away from a knockout round suspension.
Pick up another against Norway in the quarter-finals, and the Real Madrid man will in turn be unavailable for selection for the World Cup’s final-4 (should England qualify).
