Real Madrid may have to fork out €1 million for special agreement with potential new signing

Real Madrid appear to be all set for the acquisition of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will join the club on a free transfer this summer.

Alexander-Arnold will be quite the coup for Los Blancos, especially given Real Madrid’s injury woes in the right-back department.

However, while the Alexander-Arnold deal might be close to completion, Real Madrid are actively working on a special agreement that will enable the Englishman to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.

With Dani Carvajal still struggling with a long-term injury and doubts over Lucas Vazquez’s long-term future at the club, the Liverpool star could be a handy option for Real Madrid.

The upcoming FIFA Club World Cup could also be an ideal opportunity for the player to get accustomed to life at Real Madrid.

For now, though, no such agreement has been made between Real Madrid and Liverpool. The coming few days, to that end, could be integral as Real Madrid soon look to officiate the Englishman’s deal.
