Real Madrid coach excited about England superstar after sensational World Cup performances
Jose Mourinho is already turning his attention to pre-season, and he does so buoyed by the form of his players at the World Cup, none more so than Jude Bellingham.
According to Diario AS, the Real Madrid boss is eager to start working with the England midfielder, whom he views as a potential cornerstone of his side’s midfield for the crucial campaign ahead.

Bellingham has been in sensational form at the tournament, racking up six goals, one assist and four MVP awards in five matches.
His latest heroics saw him join Pele in the record books after scoring back-to-back braces in the knockout rounds.
The displays have evoked memories of his stunning debut season at the Bernabeu, and there is genuine excitement within the club at the prospect of the Englishman returning in peak physical condition after two years hampered by a shoulder injury.
Last season proved a difficult one for Bellingham. With the squad lacking a true playmaker, he was asked to take on a deeper role, which hampered his goalscoring and prevented him from making the surprise runs into the box that are among his greatest strengths.
His quality has not gone unnoticed either, with fellow professionals like Morgan Rogers full of praise for the way he has delivered in the biggest moments.
Tailor-made for Mourinho’s system

Bellingham fits perfectly into the attacking midfield role that has always been central to Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 system.
From Deco at Porto and Sneijder at Inter to the Cristiano Ronaldo and Ozil connection during his first Real Madrid spell, and more recently Dybala at Roma, the Portuguese coach has consistently built his teams around a dynamic number 10.
Bellingham’s blend of physicality, energy and goal threat makes him ideal for the role.
After two seasons without major silverware, Mourinho knows that unlocking the very best version of Bellingham could prove decisive in Real Madrid’s bid to challenge for every trophy next season.
