The Tampa Bay Rays farm system continues to bring in the accolades.

On Monday, minor league baseball announced its players and pitchers of the week among all levels leading up to the majors. And by no surprise, two Tampa Bay prospects received the honor.

In the lower levels this week, some of the Rays youngest talent showed off.

In Single-A, left-handed pitcher Blake Morgan was named the pitcher of the week in the Carolina League. In his last start for the Charleston RiverDogs, Morgan pitched seven innings of scoreless baseball while recording 9 strikeouts. He now has a 1.82 ERA on the season and has picked up 42 strikeouts over 39.2 innings.

The Voorhees, New Jersey native has already played at two levels this season and could see another promotion to High-A for the second half of the season. Morgan is not viewed as one of the Rays top-30 prospects within the organization according to MLB Pipeline, but an appearance could definitely happen soon.

Speaking of High-A, another pitcher stepped up in a big way. Right-handed pitcher Jacob Kisting was named the pitcher of the week for the South Atlantic League. This past week, the 23-year-old picked up his longest outing of the season, going 6.2 innings without allowing a run, and picking up 8 strikeouts in the process.

The former Bradley University product stands at 6-5, 220 lbs, and is off to a great start to the season for the Bowling Green HotRods. Over his 8 starts, he is 4-0 with a 1.73 ERA and has only walked 9 batters compared to his 46 strikeouts over his 41 innings of work.

Like Morgan, both pitchers fall outside the Top-30 in the organization's top prospects, but this is just another indicator of how deep the farm system truly is for Tampa Bay.

The Rays currently hold the 10th-best farm system in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. If the organization's prospects continue to appear on these lists, they will surely move up in the next update.
