Super Bowl week always brings numerous events ancillary to the game itself, and many are staged for a very good cause. Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis staged such an event on Friday, February 6, at the First Citizens' Bank SVB Experience Center.

Lewis, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, is the Founder of the Ray of Hope Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to addressing the needs of youth and communities across the country. His foundation focuses on addressing urgent mental health needs in underserved youth communities.

At his event on Friday, Lewis will annouce a capital campaign, which has an ambitous fund-raising goal of $5.2 million. The event, which will launch Lewis' Locker Room of Hope Tour, will be attended by the following corporate and nonprofit leaders: First Citizens Bank SVP Rob Robertson, MENTOR CEO Jermaine Myrie, and Pastor Paul Bains, Founder of WEHope San Francisco.

The midday event will include a fireside chat with Lewis, who will also meet and greet fans. These days, football fans could travel to the Super Bowl host city, not even attend the game, and still have plenty of NFL-related things to do.
