The Ravens are quiet in the early stages of free agency, but Super Bowl teams build through the draft, and with one month remaining until April's selection process, Eric DeCosta has begun the final step of gathering information with the vaunted Top 30 predraft visits. Local prospects are free to visit the Ravens at any time, but players outside the 50-mile radius of Baltimore must undergo a formal visit.

What is a top 30 visit?

NFL teams can bring up to 30 players in for "top-30 visits," which help teams get to know players better and vice versa. It's usually a mechanism for scheduling meetings with out-of-town prospects, with prospects from that city allowed to visit or meet with teams at any point in the process, as players from within a 50-mile radius of the team's headquarters do not count towards the 30-player limit. On-field football work is strictly forbidden by the league. Players can tour the facility but cannot participate in any football-related activities.

With the first visit set to happen, follow along with the Ravens for live updates, analysis, and what each Top 30 visit could mean for Baltimore's draft plans.

Penn State pass-rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton

Baltimore has a need at the edge rusher spot and will host Dani Dennis-Sutton at the Under Armour Performance Center.

Penn State pass-rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton has an upcoming pre-draft “30” visit with the #Ravens, he says.
