Teams that successfully build through the NFL draft typically suffer the greatest losses in free agency on a yearly basis. Baltimore was gutted on Monday, the first day of the two-day legal tampering period that kicks off free agency.

The Ravens saw seven players depart on Monday night, and after Jake Hummel's departure, they've had 8 starters or contributors depart, including an All-Pro punter and a dynamic tight end. Baltimore plays the compensatory game better than most teams, and received a league-leading (Eagles, Steelers) four picks after seeing several key players switch teams in 2025. Not all is lost, as Maxx Crosby is in Baltimore and will be introduced to the Ravens' flock sometime Wednesday or Thursday, helping quell any potential doubt. Still, the losses were significant, and players will have to step up to replace the departed production.

With the first wave of free agency underway, we're examining the positions lost and who'll be around to be the next man up.

Dre'Mont Jones to sign with the Patriots

Baltimore lost their first free agent as Dre'Mont Jones landed a three-year, $39 million deal with New England.

Dre'Mont Jones was a goner for #Ravens soon as they dealt for Maxx Crosby of course but was likely priced out anyway: reported $14.5M in the first year of $39M deal

How they adjust: Baltimore added Crosby, and still has Tavius Robinson, Mike Green, Adisa Isaac, and Kaimon Rucker on the roster. In the middle, Nnamdi Madubike's potential return should erase any underlying concerns about the trenches.

Isaiah Likely to join the Giants on a three-year deal

Tight end Isaiah Likely leaves Baltimore to join the Giants on a three-year, $40M deal worth up to $47.5M, reuniting with former Ravens coach John Harbaugh.

How they'll adjust: After some off-season and summertime doubt, the Mark Andrews era will continue in Baltimore, after the Ravens agreed to terms on a three-year, $39.3 million extension with the franchise's all-time leading catcher. The deal includes $26 million in guaranteed money. Andrews was slated to hit free agency at season's end, but now, he'll remain, while Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar depart. The $13.1M per year average makes Andrews the sixth-highest-paid tight end in terms of average annual value, behind the Cleveland Browns' David Njoku and ahead of the Cowboys' Jake Ferguson. Look for Baltimore to add a tight end at some point in free agency, and potentially add two players via the draft.

Jordan Stout signs record deal with the Giants

All-Pro punter Jordan Stout leaves Baltimore to join the Giants and coach John Harbaugh on a record-setting three-year, $12.3M deal. Stout's net punting average (44.9) ranks No. 2 in the NFL this season, while his 50.5 gross average stands No. 4. Stout set single-season franchise records in both gross and net punting average.

How they adjust: The punter position is extremely important, and outside of a talented punter coming available in free agency, look for Baltimore to follow the Tyler Loop model and draft a player of need.

Tyler Linderbaum to sign record-setting deal with the Raiders

Former Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum lands a record three-year, $81M deal with the Raiders, including $60M guaranteed to become the NFL's highest-paid interior offensive lineman.

How they adjust: One of the most significant losses in franchise history, Linderbaum is the highest-paid center in NFL history. With Austin Schlottmann, Tyler Biadasz, and Connor McGovern off the board, Baltimore could target Elgton Jenkins, draft a center, or roll with former Maryland star Corey Bullock, who has quietly improved each season.

Ravens declined to tender RB Keaton Mitchell

In something of a shocking move, Keaton Mitchell is an unrestricted free agent after Baltimore chose not to tender the fourth-year player.

How they adjust: Everything starts with Derrick Henry, but Baltimore went with Justice Hill over Mitchell's explosiveness. Rasheen Ali has had productive moments, and Baltimore could sign a running back or follow the same undrafted recipe that landed Mitchell.

Ravens Lose TE Charlie Kolar to Chargers on a three-year, $24.3M deal

Jesse Minter's hiring will definitely usher in a new era after the Ravens lose another tight end in free agency, as the Chargers are signing Charlie Kolar to a three-year, $24.3 million deal, making him the NFL's top-paid blocking tight end, Tom Pelissero reports.

How they'll adjust: Look for Baltimore to add a blocking tight end at some point in free agency, and potentially add two players via the draft.

Chiefs to sign Ravens safety Alohi Gilman to a 3-Year, $24.75M Deal

Ravens safety Alohi Gilman is signing with the Chiefs on a three-year, $24.75 million deal that includes $15 million guaranteed in free agency.

How they adjust: Alohi Gilman was sixth on the team in tackles with 68, six passes defended, and one tackle for loss. Baltimore still has All-Pro Kyle Hamilton on the roster and star safety Malaki Starks. Marlon Humphrey could switch positions, the Ravens could sign a solid free-agent safety as the process plays out, or they could use a draft pick. Second-year undrafted safety Keondre Jackson is a special teams star and could adopt a larger role.

Giants to Sign Former Ravens DB Ar'Darius Washington

Jordan Schultz reports that the Giants are expected to sign former Ravens cornerback Ar'Darius Washington to a one-year deal in free agency.

How they adjust: Keyon Martin saw significant snaps as an undrafted rookie free agent and could slide into Washington's versatile role. Second-year cornerback Robert Longerbeam and Bihlal Kone could also fill that role.
