With the NFL Draft now being a thing of the past, it makes sense to note that there are plenty of high-profile free agents available for the taking.

Regarding wide receivers, Bleacher Report’s Doric Sam believes that the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs could battle for a 32-year-old star whom the New England Patriots released in March.

“The Los Angeles Rams were initially expected to target a wide receiver before they used the No. 13 pick to select Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson,” Sam wrote last Friday. “They could add a veteran like Diggs to create a dangerous group alongside Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.”

“The Baltimore Ravens could use a veteran presence alongside rising star receiver Zay Flowers, who recently had his fifth-year option picked up. The team added even more youth by selecting USC wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane with a third-round pick. Diggs would give star quarterback Lamar Jackson another reliable target in the passing attack.”

“The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their first losing season since 2012, so they likely would welcome all the help they can get. Adding Diggs alongside tight end Travis Kelce and receivers Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy would give Patrick Mahomes a talented group when he returns from his torn ACL during the 2026 season.”

Although the Rams likely won’t feel inclined to sign Diggs with the franchise already possessing a star-studded receiving core, it’s realistic to envision the veteran wideout joining the Ravens or Chiefs.

If the Ravens are serious about winning their first Super Bowl in the Jackson era, adding a 1,000-yard receiver with championship experience, a competitive edge, and a knack for making himself available against zone coverage would be a wise offseason move.

Likewise, the Chiefs’ WR unit could use some reinforcements after a disappointing 2025-26 campaign that saw zero contributors reach the 600-yard mark (Kelce led the team in receiving at the TE position with 851 yards).

Needless to say, the interest should be there for both AFC franchises, but it’s unclear who will aggressively pursue the former fifth-round pick.
