Last season, despite injuries and other issues, the Pittsburgh Steelers found a way to finish 10-7 and win the AFC North. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh was unable to get that elusive playoff win that's escaped them since 2016, prompting huge changes.

As things are lining up now, the sledding is going to be no easier for the Steelers in a talented division. Pittsburgh benefited from some huge injuries to star players on other teams and they head into the draft and the offseason with everyone on a level playing field.

Here are our offensive positional rankings for the AFC North as the rosters stand now before the start of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Quarterback - The AFC North boasts two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and this is bad news for the Steelers. With Aaron Rodgers out in the ether and unsigned, they find themselves behind even the Browns for the time being.

1 - Baltimore Ravens

2 - Cincinnati Bengals

3 - Cleveland Browns

4 - Pittsburgh Steelers

Running back - The Steelers addition of Rico Dowdle gives them an exceptional one-two punch with Jaylen Warren. Is this tandem better than last season? That remains to be seen but this group does get the nod over the Browns tandem of Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson on experience but everyone is looking up at the Ravens.

1 - Baltimore Ravens

2 - Pittsburgh Steelers

3 - Cleveland Browns

4 - Cincinnati Bengals

Wide receiver - 2026 will once again be the year that the rest of the AFC North tries to keep pace with the Bengals at wide receiver. For the Steelers, while we like what they did trading for Michael Pittman Jr., we aren't ready to put them ahead of the Ravens on this list. But after the draft, we are hopeful this group gets a big bump.

1 - Cincinnati Bengals

2 - Baltimore Ravens

3 - Pittsburgh Steelers

4 - Cleveland Browns

Tight end - The tight end position isn't a highlight in the AFC North. Ravens star Mark Andrews is getting older, and a case can be made that Cleveland's Harold Fannin Jr. is the best in the division. As for the Steelers, the tandem of Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth is probably the best top two in the division and we hope they see more opportunities in this new Mike McCarthy offense.

1 - Pittsburgh Steelers

2 - Cleveland Browns

3 - Baltimore Ravens

4 - Cincinnati Bengals

Offensive line - The biggest upside to the Steelers' season in 2025 was how well the young offensive line played. This group came together quickly, played through injuries and excelled.

2 - Baltimore Ravens
