The AFC North is always one of the most highly contested divisions in the NFL, and that is due in large part to the high level of quarterback play. 2026 should be no different with the return of Aaron Rodgers to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns. This division is capable of producing three playoff teams and that has everything to do with the quarterback position.

1 - Baltimore Ravens

The difference between Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow isn't huge but we like Tyler Huntley to come in and play better than Joe Flacco here, so the Ravens get th3e nod.

Starter - Lamar Jackson

Backups - Tyler Huntley, Skylar Thompson, Diego Pavia, Joe Fagnano

2 - Cincinnati Bengals

Again, the talent of Burrow isn't in question but we don't like the depth of Flacco and Josh Johnson if he should go down.

Starter - Joe Burrow

Backups - Joe Flacco, Josh Johnson, Sean Clifford

3 - Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers isn't the quarterback he was five years ago and is a clear notch below the top guys. As for depth, Mason Rudolph is a solid veteran reserve who might not even make the team.

Starter - Aaron Rodgers

Backups - Will Howard, Mason Rudolph, Drew Allar

4 - Cleveland Browns

The Browns are still a work in progress. They are paying Watson, so he gets the nod but don't be shocked if all the top three get reps this season.

Starter - Deshaun Watson

Backups - Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, Taylen Green
