Sean McVay's coaching staff will be relatively the same in 2026, with a couple of big changes. The team officially announced their staff for the upcoming season, with some interesting names joining the list.
The biggest name that stands out is Kliff Kingsbury, who is now the assistant head coach for the Rams. McVay hired Kingsbury this offseason to an undisclosed role after he parted ways with the Washington Commanders. Kingsbury is also the former Arizona Cardinals head coach.
The notable addition to the staff is former Rams receiver Robert Woods, who retired with the team and will not serve as L.A.'s assistant wide receiver coach under Rob Calabrese.
The oddest element of the announcement is who the Rams list as offensive coordinator. It had been originally reported that passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase and quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone would serve as co-offensive coordinators under McVay after Mike LaFleur left to become the head coach of the Cardinals. However, it looks like Scheelhaase officially gets the "offensive coordinator" moniker, while Ragone was named associate coordinator/quarterbacks coach.
There is a strange omission from this announcement, too: Aubrey Pleasant. The Rams' assistant head coach and passing game coordinator from 2025 is not listed on the official coaching staff announcement. Jimmy Lake, who was a senior defensive assistant for L.A. in 2025, is now listed as the team's passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach.
