In addition to medical evaluations, on-field testing and measurements, the NFL combine is also an opportunity for prospects to meet with teams. And most prospects will meet with the majority of teams in Indianapolis – at least in some capacity.
The Los Angeles Rams are using one of their formal meetings to get to know LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane a bit better. Even though Les Snead and Sean McVay aren’t in Indy, at least one representative of the Rams will have (or had) a formal meeting with Delane, per Ryan Fowler.
Delane is considered the top cornerback in the 2026 class following a stellar season at LSU last year. He’s someone they could conceivably take at No. 13 overall if he’s available.
Delane has opted out of on-field drills at the combine, instead choosing to work out at his pro day later this spring. That won't change how teams view him in this class, but it would've been great to see him test alongside some of the other corners in the draft.
His name has already come up frequently for the Rams in mock drafts and that should continue through the rest of the spring.
