The Los Angeles Rams have two of the NFL's most reliable outlets when pressure forces Matthew Stafford off schedule, according to new data from Pro Football Focus.

PFF's Mason Cameron identified the league's most-targeted pass-catchers when opposing defenses generated pressure during the 2025 season. Davante Adams led the entire NFL in that category, with fellow Rams pass-catcher Puka Nacua not far behind in the top 10.

Adams, in his first season with Los Angeles, posted a 23.1% target rate under pressure, which was the highest mark of any player in the league. The 12-year veteran quickly built chemistry with Stafford, using his footwork and ability to manipulate coverage to consistently win the leverage battle against man coverage. Adams finished with just 789 receiving yards in 2025, but he led all pass-catchers with 14 touchdown receptions and had the eighth-highest PFF receiving grade against man coverage (89.9) among all qualifying wideouts.

Nacua, PFF's reigning Offensive Player of the Year, ranked seventh among pass-catchers with a 21.6% target rate under pressure, adding a 2.40 yards-per-route-run average and a 106.8 passer rating when targeted in those situations. According to PFF's data set, no player finished in the top five of more pressure-related receiving categories than Nacua, including receptions (26, third), receiving yards (410, fourth), first downs (18, second), contested catches (seven, second) and explosive plays (12, fourth).

The duo's presence atop the list underscores what's become one of the NFL's most dangerous receiver tandems. With Adams' savvy and Nacua's all-around production, the Rams have built-in answers for Stafford no matter how a pocket collapses.
